Silo Comparisons
Which Grand Oaks silo is right for your group?
Six silos, three sizes. Bluebonnet and Wildflower sleep four and are built for couples. Pecan and Mesquite sleep eight for friend groups and small families. Live Oak and Post Oak sleep eight and handle the larger gatherings - reunions, milestone weekends, extended family under one roof.
All six sit in the same silo community on the ranch. Shared pool with a sun shelf and waterfall, a fire pit with swing benches, a nature playground. The historic 1870 farmhouse and barn are on the property but zoned separately. Silo guests don't cross paths with wedding parties or farmhouse renters.
Bluebonnet and Wildflower: The couples silos
Both sleep four. They are the smallest units by design - one bedroom upstairs, a first-floor living space, a walk-in shower on the ground floor, a soaking tub upstairs. If it's the two of you or four, either one works. Bluebonnet runs cooler and quieter, with whites and soft denim blues. Wildflower runs warmer, with natural wood tones, sage, and honey-toned floors. Couples with a second couple or a small child pick these when they want to be close but not on top of each other. Or book them side by side.
Pecan and Mesquite: The mid-size silos
Both sleep eight. Two bedrooms, more kitchen, more room to sprawl. This is the sweet spot for a friend group of four to six, or a small family that wants space without booking the whole ranch. Pecan is warm and grounded - rich brown, caramel, dark bronze. Mesquite is cooler and more industrial - charcoal, matte black iron. Both have their own outdoor space and full amenity access.
Live Oak and Post Oak: The largest silos
Both sleep eight. Bigger kitchens, bigger living rooms, built for the group that ends up in the same room until midnight. Live Oak is our largest open living space. This is the pair to look at for reunions, milestone birthdays, or the weekend where everyone finally gets in one place.
What if we want more than one?
You can book them. Two couples silos side by side, a mid and a large for a bigger family, all six for a full silo takeover. If you're planning something that spans more than two silos, email us. We can hold them together and price the group directly.
What if we want the whole property?
The full-property buyout adds the 1848 farmhouse and the barn to all six silos. Sleeps up to 56. That's the option for weddings, large reunions, corporate retreats, or any group that wants exclusive use of the ranch. Details on the Stays page.
